A tool which can be used to do common tasks, which Microsoft Content Management Server API provides

 

Template Switch

 

Template switch can be used to move the content of a posting to another template based one. After selecting the appropriate template, the placeholder definition can be selected form the dropdowns. The order is used, if more than one placeholder content is going to get set to one placeholder definition. Otherwise it can be left as it is.

After changing the the template new posting can be approved/submitted and the old one also can be deleted via this window.
